KING'S EMPIRE VETERANS.
The King's Empire veterans met yesterday, Lieutenant G. 11. I'owley presid ing over an assembly of fifteen. It was decided to forward a gift of two guineas to the widow of a veteran, and letters of sympathy were acknowledged by the relatives of six veterans who have recently died. llespect was paid to the memory of the late officer-commanding, Captain G. H. Archer, and Captain James Stitchbury, who lias been tlte honorary secretary for (lie past twenty-five years, was unanimously elected to the vacancy.
