COMMITTEE WITHOUT FUNDS.
ULTIMATUM TO THE BOARD.

The Dargavillo School Committee has advised the Education Board that unless the board is prepared to make substantial increases in the grants made for maintenance tbo committee will, resign in a body. Tlio secretary reported that a, review of the finances showed that the quarterly grants made by liie board were not sufficient to pay the cleaning expenses of the threo schools under the jurisdiction of the committee which was expected to find tlie nionoy for stationery and other incidental expenses as best it could. It was pointed out that the public of Dargavillo had been most liberal in their donations to the school funds and had during tho past few years subscribed nearly £IOOO in cash in addition to gifts of sports material and prizes.
