Seay, became ill yesterday and will be unable to play in the South Island team against the English visiting team, where his place as second on the Canterbury ranking listwas assured. As fourth man on the New Zealand ranking list Seay was likely to be included in tho New Zealand team for tho test match at Auckland a week later, but for this team, too, he will now bo unavailable.
