MOUNT ALBERT CIRCUIT. A large gathering of officials of flic Mount Albert Methodist circuit was hold on Wednesday evening. Membership returns showed 410 seniors and 116 juniors on (he roll. Tho Sunday sclio jls reported 699 scholars and 57 teachers. Tho Mount Albert Church has boon onlaißCd and beautified nt a cost of £3suo, and a new parsonago has been erected at Ulen Eden. On the motion of the circuit stewards tho Revs. A. Ashcroft, C. B. Jordan and J. Wnglo- wore unanimously invited to contn.uo as tho circuit ministers. The invitations wore accepted. Messrs. J. E. Astley and W. S. Stono were elected representatives to synod, with Messrs. \V. M. Trigg and 0. G. Avery as substitute?
PROGRESS AT DEVONPORT. MEMBERSHIP INCREASE. The quarterly meeting of tho Devonport Methodist Circuit was held at Stan lev Bay last. evening, tho Rev. J. F Martin presiding over a good attendance A slight increase in membership was disclosed, with generally satisfactory progress throughout the circuit. Duo largclv to wet weather affecting attendances, tho financial statement recorded a small debit Sunday School reports and thosojiffectincr young people's work indicated .substantial development and interest. Apprecia tion of the work of the Rev. and Mrs Martin was voiced Mr. A. W. Parker and Mr. J. W. Fordham were elected representatives to synod. Tho meeting endorsed tho poaco manifesto of tho United Churches.
