NITROGENOUS MANURE.
WAIKATO EXPERIMENTS. Important investigations are being conducted by tho Agricultural Department with a view to ascertaining tho value of nitrogenous manures on Waikato lands. Tho department's Hamilton instructor, Mr. G. W. Wild, has 18 experimental plots on farms in various parts of the Waikato under his supervision. With the assistance-of check plots, ho is taking a careful note of the effect of the top-dressing on the pastures, the carrying capacity of tho plots, and tJiO-js«»-creased production resulting from tho application of tho fertiliser.
