COMPETITION FROM SOUTH. With (lie object of starting business in Auckland, the New Zealand Traveling Company, of Wellington, Napier a-ul Wanganui, lias acquired a site of two quarter-acre blocks at the Freeman's Bay reclamation. It is stated the move was instituted primarily because of tlio entry; if l lie Auckland firm of Sanford, Limited, into the trade in Wellington a few months ago. The proposal is to establish at Freeman's Bay freezing works and treatment factories which will supply three retail shops to be erected in the main thoroughfares of Auckland.
