MUSKET SOCIETY FUNDS.
FAIR AT TE KAUWHATA. Tho To Kauwhata sub-branch of tho Phinkct Society held its second fair last week. The proceedings were opened by, Mr. Mclnnes, who, in a short address, emphasised tho value of the work being done by the society throughout the Dominion, and in other lands. The commit--1 or. nd a band of willing helpers were kept busy at tho several stalls, and their efforts were moro than realised when if) was found the total takings amounted to £135. As such a generous response had been made by tho residents of To Kauwhata und tho surrounding districts, the expenses did not exceed £5. and one and all have every reason to feel proud of'the financial success of the fair.
