ONEHUNGA METHODISTS.

INCREASE IN MEMBERSHIP.

An increnso of 36 members was disclosed at the quarterly meeting of the Onehunga Methodist Circuit, presided o%'er by the Rev. F E. Lcadley, superintendent. There aro now 260 senior members and 149 junior members. Mr. Leadley reported good progress in all the churches of the circuit, and a committee was appointed to arrange for open-air services during tho summer. Messrs. C. E Goodo and R. G. Laking were elected auditors, and Messrs. A. J. Poplo and J. Booth circuit representatives to the synod War and military training provoked a long discussion, and it was suggested the meeting should support the conscientious objector. However, a resolution was finally adopted supporting the attitude of tho Methodist Conference that war as a means of settling disputes was futile, and that Christians should lind some other way, believing that war is contrary to the mind of Christ. A resolution was carried expressing appreciation of Mr. Leadloy's woj'k during his superinte'ndency of the circuit, and inviting him to remain for a third year. Mr. Leadley accepted tho invitation,.
