SAMOA VERY QUIET.
POSITION BECOMING NORMAL. "The new Administrator of Samoa, Mr. &. S. Allen, seems to bo just the typo of man needed now," said Sir Joseph Carruthers, of Sydney, who arrived from Honolulu by the Niagara yesterday. Sir Joseph has been attending the Captain Cook celebrations at Hawaii and on his way north spent a few days in Samoa. . Sir Joseph said when he was in Samoa 'matters were very quiet indeed. Ino Administrator was waiting to get a grip of the position, hoping matters would light themselves without any interference on his part. "His course is a very, wise one, because it is my opinion things will right themselves in a normal added Sir Joseph. "The future holds prosperity v'uid success for this New Zealand dependency." ______________
