DAYLIGHT SAVING.
Sj rj —\V'o are to have a modified daylight saving measure. Clocks are to be put on half an hour from next Sunday. Why not permanently advance New Zealand time half an hour ? Wo should then be exactly 12 hours different from Greenwich time. This would be better than jumping the clock backwards and forwards every six months. On the shortest days it is' not properly light at five, o'clock in the evening, and an extra half hour then would be of even more value than in the summer. lime.
