Frederick William Webster, w'nose name had twice been suppressed previously by order of a justice of the peace, appeared on remand in the Whangaroi Magistrate's Court this morning, before Mr. J. 11. Luxford, S.M., on a. charge of failing to account for £235 lis lid, being moneys alleged to have been received on behalf of the Whangaroi Co-operative Terminating Building Society, between July 1 and July 31, 1928. When the case was called, Senior-Ser-geant O'Grady applied for a remand until October 15, as the auditor, Mr. A. Rust, wiis ill in Auckland. The senior sergeant said nine further charges would bo preferred against accused, involving in all approximately £I4OO. Counsel for accused applied to have Accused's name again suppressed, as his !it was holding certain positions, and if his name was broadcast thoro would be a danger of his losing them.
