COMMON GAMING HOUSES.
RAIDS IN WELLINGTON, SEVERAL CHINESE FINED. [BT TELEGRAPH—PKESS ASSOdATIOM,] WELLINGTON, Monday. Further prosecutions in connection with! a police raid on Chinese premises were conducted in the Magistrate's Court today. Wee Kcc Fan, aged 34, Hedly Louis, aged 30, Low Bung, aged 71, and Sam Chong, aged 40, all pleaded guilty to keeping common gaming houses. Fan and Bung were each fined £2O, in default three months' imprisonment. Louis and Chong were both fined £lO, in dafault six weeks' imprisonment. Another raid was conducted to-day in Chinese quarters. George Chipperfield, James Ivavanagh and William John Baker pleaded guilty to being found in a common gaming house and wor© each fined £2 fcnd costs.
