NAVAL RESERVE.

MEDICAL OFFICER CHOSEN. Dr. J. A. Watson, of Auckland, lias been appointed medical officer to the Auckland division of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve. Dr. Watson, who retains his rank as surgeon lieutenant-com-mander on the emergency list of the Royal Navy, saw active service in the war with tho first wing of the Royal Naval Air Service in Flanders, with the naval siege guns at Nieuport, and in various ships at sea.
