KISSING A SPY.
The Abbe Gcistitz, who was for many years chaplain at the Sante Prison, has died in Paris at the age of 88. He administered tho last rites to many notorious criminals, including 8010 Pasha, but his most famous penitent was Mata Hari, the woman dancer, who was shot as a spy during the war inside the fortificatir* grounds at Vincennes. The abbe received tho last words of the beautiful dancer and kissed her goodbye. He was deeply affected by the terrible drama, and always refused to speak about it. The abbe retired some eighteen months ago.
