SHOCK FOR A BRIDE.
MOTHER'S SUDDEN DEATH. TWO HOURS AFTER WEDDING. A wedding party was brokon up and the bride, Miss Doris Malpass, of Tunbridgc Wells, bereaved two hours after leaving the altar through the death of lier mother recently. Mrs. Malpass had taken part in the ceremony, and on its conclusion her son went to call his mother to witness the signatures in the register, when sho suddenly collapsed, and had to be carried out of "the church. A doctor who was summoned ordered her immediate removal to a nursing home, j In the meantime the wedding guests had assembled at a hall and were received by the newly-married couple. A few minutes after their arrival a message was received at the hall informing the company of the seriousness of Mrs. Malpass' illness. The guests were asked to leave shortly after, and the bridal cake was left untouched. Before dispersing tho Rev. B. A. Gregory, who had conducted the wedding, offered prayers for Mrs. Malpass. Bride and bridegroom were present at Mrs. Malpass' bedside when she died within two hours of her daughter's marriage.
