RUGBY LEAGUE TEST.

MATCH AT DUNEDIN TO-DAY.

NEW ZEALAND'S PROSPECTS.

PERSONNEL OF THE TEAMS. The second Rugby League test match between England and New Zealand will bo played at Dunedin to-day. The match is arousing considerable interest, as should New Zealand win it will retain the "ashes," which it gained on the last occasion on which an English League team visited the Dominion. At that time New Zealand won two tests out of tho three, and on this visit it has already won the first test.

New Zealand will field practically the same team to-day as that which defeated the Englishmen in Auckland, while the visitors' thirteen will also he somewhat similar to that which went down in the first test. There is a doubt, however, whether Fairclougli will take the field. This player, who has shown himself the most versatile back in the team, suffered an injury in the match against Auckland last Saturday. Providing the New Zealand players aro fit enough to see the game through, and play up to their form of the first test, they have good prospects of success in the match to-day. Southerners will be provided with a duel between the two great fullbacks, Sullivan and Dufty, and no doubt both will create a good impression. Following are the teams: — En-gland. Fullback: J. Sullivan, Threequarters: A. Ellaby, J. Bvough, J. Oliver, C. Askin, A. Frodsham (one to bo omitted). Halves: B. Evans, W. Rees, L. Fairclougli (one to be omitted). Forwards: W. Burgess, N. Bentham, 11. Bowmen, E. F. Bowen, R. Sloman, A. Fildes, W. Horton (one to be omitted). New Zealand. Fullback: C. Dufty. Threequarters: Scott, Brisbane, List, Hardgravo (one to be omitted). Five-eighths: Wetherill and Prentice. Halves: Delgrosso,, ! ; <{»jkham (one to bo omitted). Forwards: J. O'Brien, Somers, Hutt, Hall, 51. O'Brien (West Coast), Goodall (Buller), Timms (South Auckland), (one to bo omitted). To date the Englishmen have played six matches, winning five and losing one. They have scored 218 points against. 62, but 134 of the points registered in their favour were gained in the two last matches against the West Coast and Buller representatives. Mr. Olson, of Dunedin, will referee today's match.
