IT has long been thought, and certain interested parties still strive to keep the fallacy alive, that the ground clearance of British cars is not adequate for Overseas conditions, and that American built cars have an advantage in this respect. Here are the facts. Comparing four typical British with four equally typical American cars we find that there is preciselv half'an-inch of difference between them all. Was a car ever stopped by half-an-inch of ground clearance? We doubt it. A recently introduced new model of a well known American car has precisely the same clearance as the standard 11.9 H.P. Morris Cowley. Yet they say the British car has not sufficient ground clearance. Do not be misled by the bogey of ground clearance; get to know the facts. Prove for yourself that ground clearance is no bar to the satisfactory ownership of a British car.
