No amount of nightly care will undo tho damage caused by hard water and harslv soaps to hands with sensitive skins Very many reliable soaps are available, and. borax, oatmeal, or bran can be used to soften the water, but if one is temporarily deprived of a good soap it is wiser to use oatmeal or almond meal for washing with Almond meal is sooth ing, cleansing and. whitening, but. it is imperative that it should bo made from sweet almonds. Meal made from bitter almonds is much too drastic and can be very painful.
