CRICKET COINCIDENCES.
A sporting writer in England recently remarked on the singular coincidences that aro associated with Holmes and Sutcliffe, the great Yorkshire cricketing "twins." For nearly nine years they havo been partners in opening Yorkshire's iunnings and havo rarely failed to put up an amazing performance. Both cricketers wore born on the same day, Novettmber 25. Both were called up for practice at Headingley on the same day. Unknown to one another, they travelled together on the top of the some tram-car from Leeds, and both have been playing ever since. For that "period their averages are almost identical-—43.3 for Holmes and 44.41 for Satcliffe.
