THE CORKADUK.
Next timo a rainy day comes along, and you don't know how to amuse yourself, try making a number of cork birds and beasts, and see how interested you will become. Corks, matchsticks, and feathers are all that is needed to make the dicky-bird shown in the picture, as an example of what can bo done. The body is a large bottle cork with two matchsticks for legs pushed into it. Cut a round slice of cork for the head, and fix it in one end of the large cork with
a bit of matchstick. Make a little paper or plasticine beak, and push it into a slot cut in front of the head. Colour tho bird some bright hue, not forgetting to paint in his Then push in a few small feathers for his wings and tail. He will look ever so quaint, and will stand lip beautifully when his legs aro fixed into another circle of cork to act as a stand.
Our Boys will have this page entirely to themselves next Saturday. It will be worth reading.
