WEDDINGS.

The wedding was solemnised at the Cathedral, Hamilton, by the Ven. Archdeacon E. M. Cowie on Tuesday of Alice Maud, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Rothwell, of Glen View, Whatawhata, to Harley Bruce, eldest son of Mr. and the late Mrs. B. Hollier. of Gisborne. The bride wore a frock of shell pink georgette trimmed , with silver tissue and embroidered in silver French embroidery. She was attended by sixbridesmaids. After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Rothwell entertained many guests, at the Wattle 'learooms, where the usual toasts were honoured. St. Peter's Church, Onehunga, was the setting for the wedding last Wednesday of Nancy Jean, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Coop, of Mount Roskill. to Roy Selwyu, youngest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. Geo. Stevenson, of MonnE Albert. Canon Mason performed the ceremony. The bride wore a frock of silver lace and ivory georgette cut on simple lines and trimmed with silver. The veil was of beautifully embroidered net hold in place by a coronet of orange blossoms and falling in graceful lines to form a train. Lilies, freesias, and azaleas, with maidenhair fern, formed the shower bouquet. The bridesmaids were Miss Hazel Coop and Miss Gladys Stevenson, the former wearing pale green crepe de chine with flowing collar and the latter coral pink. Their head-dresses were of tulle and they carried bouquets to tone. The two little flower girls, Shirley Atchison and Molly Coop, were,dainty little figures in mauve and blue crepe de chine with tulle head-dresses and posies matching each frock. Mr. Arthur Stevenson acted as best man and Mr. Harold Stevenson was groomsman. The bride was given away by her father. The wedding was solemnised in the Presbyterian Church, Kaipara Flats, recently of Miss Doris Isabel Gubb, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Gubb, of Kaipara Flats, to Mr. Edmund Gregory Russek, son of Mrs. Russok, of Park Crescent Parnell. The Rev. Yule, of Warkworth, performed the ceremony and Mrs. B. Adolph played the wedding music. Tho bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of cream georgette over satin, trimmed with rich cream silk lace caught in front with a cluster of pearls. Her embroidered tulle veil was held in place with a wreath of orange blossoms and she carried a beautiful bouquet of cyclamen and cream primroses, snowdrops, cream and pink rosebuds and maidenhair ferns fastened with a bow of tulle and ribbon. Attached to the bouquet were ribbon streamers decorated with primroses and fern. Miss Ida Vipond, of Remuera, cousin of the bride, and Miss Vera Gubb, sister of the bride, were ' bridesmaids. Miss Vipond wore a frock of cyclamen crepe de chine with tight bodice j and full skirt appliqued in deeper cyclamen velvet. Miss Vera Gubb wore apple green crepe de chine embroidered with steel beads. Tulle head-dresses were worn to tone. The two little flowergirls, Jean Gubb, sister of the bride, and Hazel Thomson, of Papatotoe, cousin of the bride, wore frocks of nattier blue and apricot crepe do chine respectively, trimmed with contrasting ribbons, and carried baskets of rosebuds and maidenhair fern with ribbon streamers. Mr. Arthur Russek, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and Mr. Ivan Gubb, brother of the I bride, groomsman. I
