STRONG POSITION ATTAINED. [BY TEI.EGH.VriT.—OWN CORItKSrOXPBNX. ] HAMILTON. Friday. The satisfactory financial position of the Waikato Winter Show Association ivas referred to at a meeting of tlio executive to-day. The secretary, Mr. \V. 11. Paul, reported that after settling all accounts there was £SOO cash in hand. The two joint and several guarantees for £2500 signed in 1923 and for £750 signed in 1924 could now bo retrieved from tho bank.
It was decided to place on record (lie appreciation of the executive to the guarantors who signed the guarantees and placed the .show on a sound footing. Mr. Paul added that over a period of ten years land valued at £1872 had been purchased, and buildings and plant costing £11,742 had been added. Hie total assets in 1919 were £3-106, and to-day were valued at £12,500. Mr. A. K. .Alexander, the president, said in tlio last ten years the show had • made progress by leaps and bounds, and there was cyery indication that its prosperity -would continue. The action of-the secretary in revising the schedules of the home industry and needlework sections was endorsed. A committee consisting of the president and two vice-presidents was appointed to investigate the question of outstanding members' subscriptions.
