WOUNDING A WIFE.
SPINSTER'S VIOLENT ACT. FOUR YEARS' HARD LABOUR. (Received August 13, 8.55 p.m.) BRISBANE. Aug. 13. A spinister, Edith Eileen Ramsay, aged 84, was to-doy sentenced to four years' imprisonment with hard labour for pounding Mrs. MacDonnell. Counsel for the prosecution said accused was in love with her victim's husband, and when ho was away at work Dne day she attacked Mrs. MacDonnell trith a razor and a hammer.
