REPORTS OF MANAGERS. Now Waiotahi.—The drive toward tho Calodonian reef has been advanced lift, for the week, making the total distance from the starting point 197 ft., leaving 25ft. to reach the boundary. The country rock Is carrying fine-grained mineral seams, favourable for gold. Moanataiari.—The crosscut into the footwall is now out 21ft, in splendid country. On Thursday in the old leading stope in the tunnd level a fall of rock occurred and showed up. a leader in the hanging-wall which had not Leei: worked. Since then we havo secured a further couple of pounds of good picked stone (showing very coarse gold) from the leader mentioned, which, I think, has nor been seen previously. At first gold was seen only on the hanging-wall portion, but at the last breaking-down gold was seen also in the centre of the reef and on the footwall. A fair quantity of the stone broken shows colours and dabs of gold, and during the week we selected o little stone which is fairly rich. The country rock encasing tho reef is of a splendid description, being interlaced with a fair number of mineral seams, and the general prospects hero ai® most hopeful for meeting with rich values.
