In moving the adoption of the annual report, the chairman referred to the greatly increased activities of the association. "The carnival play had prcduced a net profit of £430, and the association had thus been able to pay £4OO to the College Council toward the cost of the students building. The success of the Bates College debating tour had enabled the association to distribute £IOO among deserving charities. The dining hall which had been run by the association for the students had been a great success, showing only a small loss on the year's working.
