SHEEP ON A CRAG.
RESCUER'S PERILOUS WORK.
A young ewe trapped on the 1000 ft. Falcon Crag, between Keswick and Lodore, was rescued after a thrilling descent by two climbers lately. The animal was on a ledge about 150 ft. down the rocky face of the crag.
Two rock climbers from Keswick lowered themselves on a rope, tied up the sheep, and let it down to the bottom of the cliff. They then descended the crag, and led the ewe to safety.
