OFFERS £7OO FOR HUSBAND. A well-dressed American girl tourist walked up to an itinerant lemonade vendor. in Cairo recently, flung her around his nock, and insisted on kissing and embracing him, greatly to the man's embarrassment. lie took her to tho nearest police station. She continued her excessive demonstrations of affection before the police officer on duty. The officer succeeded in getting from her an explanation that she was determined to marry the lemonade seller, who resembled a Frenchman, now dead, whom she had greatly loved. Her lover's personality, she was confident, was now in the ..lemonade seller.
The girl offered £7OO to "the lemonade seller if he would marry her and leave immediately for America. Tho man refused the offer. The police communicated with the American Consul, who took tho girl away, greatly against her will. She protested that nothing would part her from her soul mate.
