11R. GEORGE MORRISON.
The death of an early colonist, Mr. Georgo Morrison, has occurred at his residence, 42, Charlotte Street, Eden Teirace. Born in County Cavan, Ireland, Mr. Morrison sailed from Belfast in the ship Queen of Niitions, landing at Auckland on July 6, 1874. He was married in 1879 to Miss Sarah Mitchell, and two. years later settled at Hikuai, East Coast, where he was a storekeeper and farmer for 33 years. 111-health caused Mr. Morrison to "retire to Auckland, where lie had resided for the last 14 years. _ His wife pre-deceased him, but there is a familv of seven daughters, three sons and 35 grandchildren. •• MR. H. A. MOORE. * The death has occurred at Tirau Mr. Hamilton Andrews Moore, aged 91. He was the son of the late Rev. W. G. Moore, rector of a parish in Lincolnshire, England, and was born in Lincolnshire in .1837. He was educated at King's College, London, and in France and Germany, and at the age of .17 decided to come to New Zealand. He at Wellington by the ship Norman Morrison, after a voyage lasting six months. His early days in the Dominion were not devoid of adventure, as he was shipwrecked while crossing to the South Island. Later, he was for some years an officer in the militia. Subsequently, Mr. Moore took up land in the Wairarapa, and later in the Manawatu and Rangitikei districts. About nine years ago he went to live in the Waikato, and at the time of his death was staying with his granddaughter, Mrs. Grey Seton, of Tirau. His wife predeceased him 30 years ago. Mr. Moore's only son died in Trentham camp in 1918, and he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. R. M. Pemberton, of Tirau, Mrs. A. Mason, of Epsom, and the Misses Emily and Evelyn Moore. There are six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren . MR. T. 11. HARVEY. The death occurred at the Waikato Hospital on Tuesday of Mr. Thomas Henry (Sam) Harvey, at the age of 43 years. The eldest son of. Mr. Thomas Harvey, of Motumaoho, he was born in Taranaki. Leaving with the Main Body'of the Expeditionary Force, Mr. Harvey served in Egypt, Gallipoli and Palestine, being invalided home in 1918. He was subsequently engaged in farming in the Te Awamutu district, and recently had been in the service of the Public Works Department at Horotiu. His death followed a short illness, due to the'after-effects of war injuries. Mr. Harvey left a widow, the second daughter of Mr. H. A. Hutt, of Ngaruawahia, and five children. The interment was made at Morrinsville on Thursday.
MRS. ELLEN MICHIE. [UT TELEGRAPH.; —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] PUKEKOHE, Friday. The death occurred to-day of Mrs. Ellen Michie, aged 56 years, wife of Mr. John Michie, of Pukekohe West. Mrs. Michie was born at Pukekohe, her parents being the late Mr. and Mrs. James Graham, who settled here 64 years ago. On her marriage, Sirs. Michie took up her residence with her husband at Waipipi, near Waiuku, where they resided for 14 years. They then removed to Pukekohe West, where they had resided since. Mr?.' Michie is survived by her husband, one son and two daughters.
