TUBERCULOSIS INQUIRY.
SITTING AT HAMILTON. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON, Monday. A sitting of the committee recently appointed by the Government to inquire into the treatment of tuberculosis throughout the Dominion was held at the Waikato Hospital this morning. The sitting was not open to the press. On behalf of the Waikato Hospital Board, Dr. G. W. Gower, superintendent, Mr. Campbell Johnstone, chairman, and Mr. E. G. Johnson, secretary, met the committee. Before the sitting was held the visitors inspected the hospital grounds and buildings. The committee will sit in Auckland to-day. The Auckland Hospital and the T.B. "shelters in the Domain will be visited this morning. The committee will then proceed to hear evidence at the Health Department office. The report of the committee regarding its total investigation will be compiled in Auckland and despatched to the Minister of Health.
