NEARING THE GOAL.
REPORT FROM STEAMER. STEADY PROGRESS OF PLANE. Australian and N.Z. Press Association. (Received June 1, 11.47 p.m.) HONOLULU, June 1. A report received at Honolulu from tlie Matson Line's steamer Manoa says the Southern Cross was 800 miles from Honolulu at 2 a.m., Pacific standard time. The plane had passed the Maliko, belonging to the same line.
