HOSPITAL AUXILIARY.
THE PUBLIC APPEAL. The appeal being made to the public of Auckland this week by the Auckland Hospital Auxiliary was continued yesterday. Last evening an address dealing with the work of <he institutions controlled by the Auckland Hospital Board was given from the Auckland broadcasting station by Mr. W. Wallace, chairman of the board. Dr. Bcvan Brown, actingdirector of the pathological department at the Auckland Hospital, gave an' address on "Bacteria in Relation to Disease," in the University hall. School children and Girl Guides of the Auckland division will visit the hospital to-morrow afternoon. The effort will terminate on Friday with a street collection.
