Local members of the Maori Advisory Board met at Whangara on Saturday evening to make arrangements for a competition for the Prince of Wales Cu» for Maori Rugby players. Sir Apirana Ngata presided, and others present were the Rev. Mr. Tamahoe. Messrfl. I'. Carroll (Wairoa), W. T. Pitt and G. R. Dansey. . . It was announced that the Dominion had been divided into four districts: Tairawhiti (from Cape Runaway to Danne-irke), Taihauaiiruru (from Dannevirke to Wellington), New Plymouth and Wancanui, Waipounrumu (South Island), and Tokerau (North Auckland and Bay of Plenty). It was decided that Tairawhiti should be the first holders of the cup, ard that the first trial match between teama representing the northern part of the Tain whiti district be played at Ruatoria on Tune 23. Another match, for the selection of the Tairawhiti team, will be played in Gisborne, and the first challenge match for the trophy will also be played in Gisborne.
