QUEEN MAY NOT OPEN GAMES ABSENCE OF BURGOMASTER. Australian Press Association—United Service (Received May 27, 5.30 p.m.) AMSTERDAM, May 2G. Following upon a report that Queen Wilhelmina will not open the Olympic Games at Amsterdam, a sensation lias been caused by a report in the Amsterdam Telegraph that the Burgomaster will be away from the capital on holiday during the main part of the programme. The significance of this lies in the fact that the Burgomaster is a strict Sabbatarian, in consequence of which Amsterdam is one of the few cities in Holland wher6 public dances are forbidden on Sundays.
