REFEREE INJURED.
RUGBY MATCH INCIDENT. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH. Sunday. In the Rugby football match between the Christchurch and Technical Old Boys' teams yesterday the referee, Mr. E. G. Watkins, was knocked out by a heavy Technical Old Boys' forward colliding with him. He fell and lay still for a second or two, then whistled for the game to stop. Ho then whistled for the ambulance and left the field. Another referee took over the gam®.
