PYRAMID PREDICTION.

| THE IMMINENCE OF WAR. DATE FIXED FOR TO-MORROW. "THE FINAL TRIBULATION." All members of the British-Israel movement are anxiously awaiting to-morrow night, ■which will mark the beginning, according to the so-called Pyramid prophecies, of a dire calamity, believed to be world war, in which Great Britain and the leading Powers will one by one become implicated. The "period of tribulation," as it is called, will last eight years. Some pains have been taken by the exponents of the prophecies to avoid the responsibility of forecasting an immediate declaration of war, but most of them assert that the day will reveal the outward and visible signs of the approaching conflict, and that by the end of the year Britain should be involved. Mr. David Davidson, the leading authority on the prophecies, writing last April, says the disaster may "not necessarily begin with war, but may be ushered in by a heavy, burden of trouble, for the real nature of which we must wait and see." Prophecies Engraved in Stone. The system of prophecies to which »he British-Israel movement subscribes is based on an elaborate series of geometrical measurements of the passages and chambers contained in the Great Pyramid of Gizeh. It is maintained from this evidence and the literary traditions of the ancient Egyptians, that the Great Pyramid was built, about 5000 years ago, with the express intention that it should convey a Diviue message to later generations. The guide, supposed to be defined in old Egyptian texts, is a "Pyramid inch," which is the 500,000,000 th part of the earth's polar diameter. Applying this unit of measurement to the stone chambers and connecting passages in the interior of the great monument, a chronological table has been compiled, the conspicuous dates of which correspond with extraordinary exactitude to significant events in history. Entering the interior of the pyramid by the entrance passage, and allowing one pyramid inch to represent a solar year, the point at which the passage takes a sudden upward turn occurs at the year B.C. 1386, which is the date attributed by Egyptian and chronology to the Exodus of Israel. The ascending passage continues steeply upward until it opens out into the Grand Gallery at a point which corresponds exactly with the year A.D. 30, the date of the Crucifixion of Christ. The end of the gallery marks the date 1914, and, by an extension of the scale oi measurement so that one pyramid inch represents 30 solar days, the date August 4 is found to coincide with the gallery's junction with a narrow passage, symbolising the Great War. This low passage opens out at a point coinciding with November 11, 1918, the date of the Armistice, into an antechamber, which symbolises the truce after the war. Entry Into Low Passage. Immediate interest is concentrated on the fact that a new low passage begins at a point which coincides with the night of May 29, 1928. This passage symbolises, according to Mr. Davidson, the period of "final tribulation," and continues until it emerges, on September 15, 1936, into tho King's Chamber, the largest room in the pyramid. This chamber he likens to a "hall of the judgment of nations," on reaching which the world will be given a revelation of the Divine purpose, and a period of peace will descend upon the earth. As the symbolical significance of the pyramid's measurements was not developed until after the war, the coming date, May 29, will be the test of the theory's value. Mr. Davidson himself says: "If we fail to find ourselves in tribulation by the beginning of June the whole interpretation of the inch-month scale of pyramid prophecy is definitely proved to be erroneous." He considers the nature of the events likely to be identified with the beginning of this period of tribulation, and discovers them as follows: "(1) Events relating to Turkish, Egyptian and Moslem questions; (2) Communism and Communistic propaganda directed against the British Empire and the United States of America; and (3) international economic instability." Mr. Davidson sees in these prophecies confirmation of a literal reading of Old Testament Scripture regarding the coming "last tribulation upon Israel" ("Israel," to him, implying the Englishspeaking race). He says: "The fact that requires constant reiteration is that none of the (Biblical) prophecies dealing with the events of tribulation mentions war as the burden of tribulation. An invasion of Palestine and Egypt is certainly specified for the latter end of the tribulation period, but taking a broad outlook upon the pro- j phecies as a whole, this invasion is an incident among many incidents of greater moment. The essential thing to realise now is that there are no sound reasons for assuming that the tribulation begins with war." Prophecies of Old Moore. Prophecies of war in 1928 are forthcoming from several different sources. Dr. Gornold, an astronomer, predicts war in August, and the 22nd of that month is settdown as a war date by certain BritishIsraelites in divergence with Mr. Davidson. Old Moore, too, adds his weight to these predictions: "The world generally was wholly unprepared for the Great War of 1914, which we so clearly predicted and characterised as 'titanic,' with the added prediction that it would last until 1918," he says. " The world is equally unprepared for that greater political climax which will involve one by one 'the Powers of Europe and the rulers of the nations East and West, and which, as it seems to me, must assuredly again involve Great Britain not later than October of the present year. "On May 19 there will be a total eclipse of the sun as a sign to the nations, for it falls among the Weepers, whose eygs are blinded so that they cannot see the sign. It tells of a great physical, mental and spiritual darkness which will affect the nations and betray them into the Pit. Between .Tune 3 and October 6. and most probably on July 5. the fiat"will go forth: ' Prepare war! Beat your scythes into swords and your pruning forks into spears.' " Old Moore particularises his prediction with the announcement that the British mandate over Palestine will be challenged before the year is out and that "Red War cannot be averterl." Russia he places in the forefront of Britain's enemies.
