SHOOTING ACCIDENT.
MAN LOSES TWO FINGERS. [BY TEIJSGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] INVERCARGILL. Friday. A young man, Hugh Parker, who is employed at the Ocenn Beach freezing works, met with a serious accident to-day. He was handling -a loaded shot-gun and put his hand over the muzzle, the cartridge being accidentally discharged. His hand was so mutiliated that he had to be removed to hospital, where two fingers were amputated. He is progressing favourablv.
