The hall was full. In the front sat rows and rows of boys, with spotless collars and faces as clean as could be expected. Behind them fond parents and friends were seated $ while on the platform, with a table loaded with prize books at his side stood the Mayor, about to beein his speech. " Boys," he said impressively—"boys, you will all have to make your way in the world some day. Bo you know the meaning of energy and enterprise? " Well," he went on, "I will tell you. One of the richest men in the work came to this town without a shirt to his back, and now he has millions. A »oy in the front row looked tminderstruck. " Millions-millions!" he exclaimed aloud.
