Public notice is hereby given that the Onehunga Borough Council, in _ pursuance of its powers under " The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920." " The Rating Act, 1925," " The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act. 1909," and their respective Amendments, and all other powers thereunto enabling it. intends on TUESDAY, June 5. 1928, to make and levy for the year beginning April 1. 1928, and ending March 31, 1929: 1. A Consolidated Rate of 217-32 d in the £ unon the Rateable Value of all Rateable Prooertiee (on the basis of the Unimproved Value) appearing in the Valuation Rolls for the time being in force for the Borough of Onehunga, in lieu of the following rates; (a) General Rate of lid in the £. (b) Library Rate of 3-32 d. in the £. (c) Lighting Rate of Id in the £. (d) Hospital Rate of 13-16 d in the £. 2. A Water Rate of id in the £ upon the Unimproved Rateable Value of all Rateable Properties in the Borough to which water is supplied, with a minimum annual charge of 7s 6d, unless a water meter is affixed, in which case the charge shall be in accordance with the Waterworks Bylaws. 3. A uniform Annual Fee of 8s upon each shop, dwelling or other building from which the Council is prepared to remove refuse once weekly. 4. Upon the Unimproved Rateable Value of nil Properties in the Borough (excluding the area last added from-the One Tree Hill Road District) a Consolidated Special Loans Interest Bat© of 3 7-3*2 d in the £• 5. (b) Loan No. 9 (road formation). (c) Loan of £827 3a 4d (road formation). (d) Destructor Loan proportion). A Rebate of S per cent, will be allowed on all the above Rates provided they are paid within 30 days of the due date thereof, and all arrears of Rates due by the Ratepayer claiming the rebate are first paid.
