OBITUARY.
MR. C. S. WADDINGHAM. Mr. Charles Seaton WaddiDgham, an old resident of Auckland, and for a number of years prominent in its business circles, died on May 21 at his residence, Matoka, at the corner of Coronation and Empire Roads, Epsom. When very young Mr. Waddingham arrived in New Zealand with his parents, who settled at Mangonui, but later came to Auckland. Educated at Newton Academy, he learned the plumbing trade, and later carried on business for many years, retiring about 1915. He was a past chief ranger of the Order of Foresters, and one of the trustees, and also belonged to Lodge Ponsonby, Freemasons, Scottish Constitution. He was for many years a member of the Epsom School Committee, and sv trustee of the Epsom Methodist Church. He attained his 70th birthday on Saturday. He is survived by his wife, four unmarrieddaughters, and two sons, Mr. C. E; Waddingham and Mr. George Waddingham. The funeral took place at Mangere Cemetery yesterday. LATE MR. WILLIAM COOK. Arc obituary notice published yesterday concerning the late Mr. Cook, of Takapuna, should have referred to him sis Mr. William Cook, not Mr. John Cook, who was his father. Mr. John Cook, of Mount Euen, is a brother of Mr. William Cook. MRS. E. G. HUNTER. Mrs. Emily G. Hunter, of Fairlight, Katikati, whose death occurred recently,, was the fourth daughter of the late Rev. John Crossley, of Belfast, Ireland 2 and a cousin of the late Bishop Crossley. Mrs. Hunter came to New Zealand in 1875. She is survived by her husband, four sons, and five daughters. Her removes an active worker in the Katikati Anglican Church. .AIR. DONALD McDONALD. Mr. Richard Bach, whose death occur- 1 red to-day, aged 82, arrived in Auckland 70 years ago in the ship Gertrude, his father having brought in that vessel sections of a smaller vessel with which to institute a shipping service on the New Zealand coast.. The little boat was fitted together at Auckland end ran for manv years between Auckland and Thames.
