DISMISSAL OF WORKMEN. PRIME MINISTER'S STATEMENT. [BY TELEGRAFH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON. Tuesday. The protest made by Mr. VV. Lee Martin, M.P., against tho dismissal of men employed at, the Railway Department's house factory at Franktpn resultod in .the following reply being received by Mr. Martin from tho Prime Minister to-day: " Tho, Government is making every possible offort to absorb men thrown out of employment on account of lack of, work at the house factory, ..and special steps are being taken at present to find work, particularly for married men."-
