VOYAGE IN LIFEBOAT.
PARTY ABANDON ATTEMPT. VENTURESOME JOURNEY ENDED. Australian and N.Z. Press Association. (Received May 22, 6.35 p.m.) DELHI. May 22. The party of three, Mr. and Mrs. Hercomb and Captain Brigg, who left Calcutta for Australia on January 6 in a 30ft.. ship's lifeboat, the Hiawatha, have given up the attempt. They will leave for Melbourne by steamer from Singapore. ft was reported on April 22 that fears were fell; for the safety of the party in the Hiawatha. The last news heard of them was from Port Blair, iti the Andaman Islands, Bay of Bengal.
