TE AWAMUTU CLUB. * [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.) TE AWAMUTU. Tuesday. The Te Awamutu Bowling Club's pairs rhamponship final, between T. W. Gee ami \V. .T. North and T. Grant and J. Hawkins.resulted in a somewhat easy win for the former. Hawkins and his partner could not play up to their usual standard. The game ended on the 18th head, when Gee and North were 15 points in the lead. This pair sustained only ouo loss in the competition and that was in the first match, Chittenden and T. Mclnnes defeating them by a narrow margin. WHITIORA CLUB'S AFFAIRS. [BY telegraph.— own CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON. Tuesday. There was a large attendance at the annual meeting of the Whitiora Bowling Club last evening. The president, Mr. w. Burrow, reported that the last season had been a very satisfactory one and that the Daylight Saving Act had contributed largely to its success. _ H. # G. Loveridge won the club's championship singles and F. Booth the handicap singles. The greens had been kept in splendid order under Mr. J. T. Mitchell's supervision right through the dry spell. Expenditure, totalling £482. exceeded receipts bv £7l. Twice the usual amount of money had been spent on improvements during the season. The following officers were elected:—Patron. Mr. B. C. Lowr.v; president. Mr. P. Tt. Stewart; vice-presidents. Messrs. W. r. Choate and C. Lambert: secretary. Mr. C. W. Wycherley: treasurer. Mr. E. J. Davey; assistant treasurer. Mr. L. W. Hogben; auditor, Mr. E. P. Cowles; committee. Messrs. T. B. Booth, T. H. Mitchell and A. Downs; sole selector, Mr. J. Loveridge: deputv-selector. Mr. R. Higeott; delegates to South Auckland Centre. Messrs. Burrow and "Wycherley: beautifying committee, Messrs. T. J. Mitchell, sear., and Stewart; coach, Mr. Higgoti.
