Mr. F. T. M. Kissell, chief electrical engineer of the Public Works Department, who has been visiting Auckland, accompanied by Mrs. Kissell, left for Wellington by train last evening.
Mr. E. H. Northcroft has been reelected unopposed to the Auckland University College Council as the representative" of the members of both Houses of Parliament resident in the Auckland Province.

Major-Goneral J. M. Sloan, C.8., C.M.G., D.5.0., Deputy-Director of Medical Services, Southern Command, India, left for Sydney by the Aorangi yesterday. Major-General Sloan, accompanied by Mrs. Sloan, has been spending a holiday in New Zealand trout fishing at Tokaanu.
