DEATHS BY DROWNING.
CAR RUNS OFF PUNT. WOMAN OCCUPANT'S FATE[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN. Monday. When a motor-car ran off the punt at Tuapeka Mouth yesterday Mrs. Mary Hane Fahey, aged 53, was drowned. She was with her husband in the car, which was run on to the puat to cross the Molyneux River. The car ran over the end of the punt. The body has not been recovered. KAN FALLS FROM LAUNCH. FATALITY IN FRENCH PASS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] NELSON. Monday. While coming through French Pass yesterday afternoon, in a motor-launch Mr. R. W. Reid, well known in Nelson as the foreman of Montgomery's Garage, was thrown off the launch, which was caught in an eddy, and drowned. His body has not been recovered.
