IDLE AND DISORDERLY.
MAN GIVEN A CHANCE. A charge of being idle and disorderly was denied by Louis Charnal Neary, aged 37, in the Police Court on Saturday' Detective Moon said accused did little work and spent most of his time in billiard rooms and hotels, consorting with thieves. During the past four weeks he had been very frequently in the company of reputed and convicted thieves. Detective Hunt corroborated this evidence. The magistrate, Mr. F. K. Hunt, said as accused had a family he would merely convict him and order him to come up for sentence if called upon. Accused would receive six months' imprisonment if he was arrested again.
