MINISTERS' MOVEMENTS.

MR. COATES IN NORTH. The Prime Minister, Mr. Co&ies, left Auckland yesterday for Helensville, where Jia received private callers and also met members of the Reform Party in his electorate in the afternoon. This morning he will proceed by the express to Kirikopuni, and will officially open the Waio-tira-Kirikopuni section of the Dargaville railway this afternoon. This evening Mr. Coates will meet his election committee at Dargaville. Tomorrow morning will be devoted to receiving deputations, and in the aftemfton he will unveil the soldiers' war memorial band rotunda erected to the men from Dargaville who fell in the Great War. At the conclusion of the ceremony Mr. Coates will leave for his home at Matakohe, and in the evening will deliver an address at Paparoa. He will return to Auckland on Thursday and will leave for Wellington the same evening by the limited express. i Mr. Coates is accompanied by Mrs. Coates, their two daughters, and Mr. F. D. Thomson, permanent head of the Prime Minister's Department, and Mr. T. R. Aickin, private secretary. The Hon. W. Downie Stewart, Minister of Finance and Customs, arrived in Auckland from Rotorua yesterday afternoon, accompanied by his sister, Miss Stewart. Mr. Stewart, who is at the Grand Hotel, will address the Auckland Chamber of Commerce at a luncheon at the Town Hall to-day, and will probably leave for Wellington this evening.
