RIFLE SHOOTING.
CITY AND SUBURBS CLUB. The City aad Suburbs Rifle Club's final shoot for the service (military shooting) championship, was for five shots in 255. at plates, six shots at the running-man target at 200 yds, and seven shots rapid in 255, and seven snap at the di3c target, 3s. exposure, at 300 yds. The shooting was of a higher standard than at any prior shoot during the season. C. J. M. Clark and P. «T. Pring won the spoons. The best scores were:—C. J. M. Clark, 20, 18, 26, 26—90; P. J. Pring, 15, 20, 33, lfi—Pl; N. T). Porritt, 20, 15, 27, 51—83; IT. W. Verrall, 15. 19. 17, 26—77; G. G. Kelly, 10. 20. 21. IS—69. Clark won the S. J. Milne championship cup and Mr. 11. W. Hudson's trophy easily, with an aggregate of 179. Pring was runner-up with 149. The club will do additional servico shooting during tho winter months.
WHANGAREI CLUB'S EVENT. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WHANGARKI. Monday. The Whangarei Rifle Club held a trophy shoot under wintry conditions fit, the weekend. The youngest members took first and second place. Details are as follows:—W. .Morris (3), 45 at 200 yds, 45 at, 300 yds, total 93: C. N. White (3), 45, 40—88:: J. P. White, 47. 37—84: J. Norris (3). 43. 37 83; D. Patterson (6). 37. 39—82: E. Foot (4). 42. 34—80; J. Harland (3). 36. 37—76; M. Stewart (4). 35. 33-72; J. Davies f6), 36, 27—G9.
