SHEEP DOG TRIALS.
MATAROA COMPETITIONS. [BY TELEORArH.— OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] TAIHAPE, Saturday. The Mataroa sheep dog trials concluded yesterday in showery weather. Good entries were received for all the events, which were keenly contested. The 100 guinea gold cup was won by Mißs Long, of Te Kuiti, who has now won the trophy three years in succession. If she wins again next year the cup will become her property. Detailed results are:— Class I.—J. Goodwin's Nell, 73 points, 1; J. McHardy's Marshal Foch, 70, 2; A. McCall' 3 Eurythmie. 68, 3; F. England's Darkie, 675 points. 4: H. Harris' Mag, 65. 5. Class 11.. Huntaway.—H. Harris' entry, 43 points, 1; P. Norris' entry. 425. 2: T. Sullivan's Rafferty, 42, 3; Miss Long's Sandy, 415, 4; F.
