EXPLOSION IN MINE.
QUEENSLAND MEN INJURED. PROBABLE IGNITION OF GAS. BRISBANE, April 27. Another colliery explosion has occurred. At the Balmoral mine, in the Emerald district, 165 miles west of Rockhampton, Matthew Stewart, who was the underground manager,, Horace Abbott, ar.d William Spiller were seriously injured by an explosion. It is surmised that an electric wire fused, causing'the gas in the mine to ignite. Nineteen other men in the mine were uninj.ired.
