TAURANGA INTERESTS.
IMPROVEMENT IN PASTURES. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TAURANGA, Friday. Warm rains, which wwe more indicative of spring than late autumn, fell at Tauranga last night and to-day, and the pastures wear a green appearance. The rains have been productive of a splendid growth, especially on topdressed lands, and it will he well into winter before most farmers will have to feed out supplementary fodder. Mr. Ayrton, organiser for New Zealand Farmers' Union, is visiting the Tauranga district with the object of increasing the union membership. He is meeting with encouraging success. The provincial president of the union, Mr, A. E. Robinson, will address a meeting here next week.
